How do I maintain the best possible DVL range in ALL conditions?

Maximizing DVL range is all about signal-to-noise ratio. You want to be able to maximize the signal while minimizing noise. So what can be done to achieve this?

Nortek's DVLs have several considerations built into them to ensure that the signal is as strong as possible, such as efficient transducers and minimized internal noise. In addition, Nortek helps provide users with the right tools to identify and mitigate external noise, such as a spectrum analyzer embedded in the DVL's firmware. The spectrum analyzer shows what frequencies of noise are being heard by the DVL, providing clues as to where the issue may be.
