Webinar: Scientific estimates of biomass - a new frontier for ADCPs
The assessment of biomass is a critical requirement for proper management of fisheries. Combining biomass estimates with current profiling allows scientists to estimate biomass flux, thus offering greater tools to fisheries managers.
Up to now, this process has needed two separate instruments: one for the biomass, another for the currents. In this webinar we will present a combined ADCP with an embedded scientific echosounder, which has been shown to provide, for the first time ever, joint biomass and current profiling estimates from a single instrument.
