Vessel-mounted ADCP launch in Southampton
In July 2018, Nortek UK hosted a launch day for customers to find out about the latest technological developments for Nortek’s Signature ADCP series.

Nortek’s state-of-the art ADCP has been modified to be well suited to use as a vessel-mounted system. The launch day was designed to show users just how simple it is to operate.
The day included successful measurements of the current flows within the tidal estuary of Southampton Water.
“It was a glorious day to be out in Southampton Water, which is a unique area due to the double high tide that occurs here. Unfortunately, we were out during slack water so the current flows were very low, but it was a good test for the ADCP, which performed very well in these conditions,” says Claire Cardy, Director of Nortek UK.
