Nortek Day in New Zealand connects community
- Company & product news
The event, hosted at Plant & Food Research, consisted of sharing Nortek user stories and experiences by local industry experts and specialists at Plant & Food Research itself. There were also product updates of the latest ocean technologies and demonstrations from the Nortek team.
The team demonstrated a Vector, Eco ADCP, Generation 2 Aquadopp Profiler, and Nucleus 1000 in Plant & Food Research's flume tank. The flume, 16 meters in length and holding a capacity of 190,000 liters (over 50,000 gallons) of water, made for an ideal setup for demonstrating Nortek instruments. It not only offered a rare insider look at the instruments underwater, but also enabled the team to showcase the abilities of these instruments in a hands-on, real-life setting while still being in a controlled environment.

The Nortek team also shared the latest updates to the Nortek product line, including a highlight on the Generation 2 Aquadopp Profiler’s capabilities.
The wide spread of attendees included marine engineers, oceanographic researchers and hydrographic surveyors, as well as individuals in the aquaculture industry and in the subsea vehicle market. The wide spread of attendees benefited from sharing information with one another.

The event concluded with a tour of the complete Plant & Food Research facility and a social event after hours, a staple of Nortek events.
Nortek would like to extend sincere thanks to all the attendees who came out to the event, as well as to Peter Bell, Si Thu Paing, Louise Kregting, Damian Moran and their Plant & Food Research colleagues for their time and use of their facilities.
