Nortek strengthens Latin America presence with new Business Development Manager
- Company & product news
Nortek has expanded its operations in Latin America by hiring a dedicated person in Chile to run Business Development in Spanish speaking countries, with the goal of improving customer experience and improving Nortek’s presence in the market area.
Nortek has hired Alex Lobos, an Ocean Engineer, who has worked extensively in several survey companies in Chile, and who has led several business units related to the application of hydroacoustic technologies for physical oceanography, hydrography and marine geophysics studies. Alex Lobos will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing growth and expansion strategies, as well as serving the needs of clients in scientific and industrial segments in Latin America.
Lobos’ experience fits well within Nortek’s portfolio of sensors including current meters, current profilers, wave sensors, and subsea navigation technologies for ROVs and AUVs.
Enhancing Nortek's presence in Latin America
Nortek already has a well-established presence in Brazil, and Lobos will be working closely with the Brazilian office lead by Director Diego Bitencourt.
“I am really excited to join the Nortek team at such a crucial time for development and expansion in the Latin American region,” says Lobos. “Our goal is to leverage Nortek’s innovative technology to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, safety and sustainability in different scientific and industrial sectors. I look forward to contributing to the company with my experience, knowledge of the LatAm market and my passion for marine technology.”
Lobos is also committed to strengthening relationships with current Nortek clients, establishing new strategic alliances and exploring business opportunities in emerging markets.
“I am confident that, working closely with Alex will help us deliver the best service we can to our customers," Bitencourt adds.
Lobos can be contacted by e-mail at [email protected]. Nortek is pleased to have him onboard and is looking forward to strengthening the relationship with the Latin America local community.
