Vector Generation 2 now available with 4000 m housing

Nortek’s Vector velocimeter underwent a redesign in 2025, with the Generation 2 version offering a smaller housing, echosounder functionality, and the same high sampling rate and small sampling volume ideal for capturing small-scale turbulence. Now, the Generation 2 Vector is available in a 4000m-rated housing, making deep water deployments possible.

The Vector can sample at rates up to 64 Hz and measures in a sampling volume about the size of a marble, making it the ideal choice for sediment transport operations, small-scale turbulence measurements, and coastal engineering studies. The Vector housing is robust yet small and easily deployable, offering flexibility for field deployments requiring high-resolution measurements.
