Nortek Blue Tech Summit in Chile draws over 100 attendees
Nortek’s recent Blue Tech Summit in Chile brought together over 100 attendees from the ocean science and technology industry in South America. Industry leaders shared their views on the most pressing issues and visions for the future of the industry, and attendees enjoyed connecting across disciplines and learning from each other.

Nortek strengthens Asia-Pacific presence with new Singapore office
Nortek, a leading provider of advanced underwater instrumentation and a founding member of the General Oceans Group, is expanding its global presence with the opening of a new sales office in Singapore. The new location, part of the General Oceans Group, will host three of its member companies: Nortek, Tritech International Ltd, and Klein Marine Systems.

Nortek is excited to share that the Generation 2 version of our Vector velocimeter is now available. The Generation 2 Vector offers a smaller form factor, lower power consumption, and new features including an echosounder mode.

Bjørn Ladegård appointed Executive Vice President of Nortek
Bjørn Ladegård has been appointed Executive Vice President of Nortek as of August 1st, 2025. Ladegård joins us from his previous role as VP Renewables Operations and Senior Project Manager at Nexans. He brings with him a great deal of industry and leadership experience and was responsible for major European energy infrastructure projects in the past.

Several firmware upgrades have also been recently released, opening doors for Nucleus users and improving instrument performance.

All-female robotics team takes home first place at RoboSub with a Nortek DVL1000 on their vehicle
The all-women Desert WAVE team won this year’s RoboSub Competition with their robot team of Dragon and Baby Dragon. The robots worked together to perform a series of tasks in the competition. Dragon was equipped with a DVL1000 which guided the robot to each task location during the competition.
